ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø's 2024-25 Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Student-Athletes for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) were recently announced. Congratulations to the hardworking ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø students who gained this recognition!

ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø's Natural Sciences and Environmental Education (MAEd:NSEE) program, housed in the School of Education and Leadership, has received a $712,000 grant from the Legislative Citizens' Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR). This grant will enable the NSEE program, along with partners from the University of Minnesota and Freshwater, to expand and grow the highly successful Teacher Field School, designed to help teachers develop the skills necessary to support pre-K through 6th-grade students in achieving both social-emotional and academic growth through nature-based learning.

Bridget Jacques-Fricke, associate professor in the biology department and neuroscience program, presented her work at the International Conference of Developmental Biology, held June 18-22 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The project, entitled “Characterizing the impact of NSD3 and CAMK2 on cranial neural crest migration and morphology," is a collaboration with researchers at the University of Minnesota and includes data collected by AJ Escalante (’26) and Ethan Heide (’26) during their summer research in 2024.

Kris Norman, professor and director of public administration programs at ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø, published an article in MinnPost on grief. The article, entitled "Bearing Witness to our Collective Grief," was written in the wake of the June 14 shootings.

Dr. Urvashi Sandhir, lecturer in chemistry, presented at the 26th International Symposium on Plasma Chemistry (ISPC-26), held June 16–20, 2025, at the University of Minnesota. ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø was the only primarily undergraduate institution represented among leading research universities from 28 countries.

ÀÇÓÑÉçÇø's Natural Sciences and Environmental Education (NSEE) has received re-accreditation by the North American Association for Environmental Education. This distinction is granted to programs that meet exceptionally high levels of rigor, professional relevance, academic integrity and set the standard for the field of environmental education.
