Minnesota Board of School Administrators
Programs leading to administrative licensure are required to be approved by the Minnesota Board of School Administrators under Minnesota Statute 122A.14.

Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board
Teacher preparation programs leading to initial or additional licensure are required to be approved by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). PELSB establishes licensure standards and requirements, approves institutions and licensure programs to prepare Minnesota teachers, and establishes and enforces the Code of Ethics for Minnesota teachers. The current authority and responsibilities of the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board are delineated primarily in Minnesota Statutes §122A.05 – §122A.09, §122A.18, §214, and Minnesota Rules, Chapters 8700, 8705 and 8710.
