A Michigan native, Weiland obtained her bachelor鈥檚 degree (with a double major in psychology and English) from Northern Michigan University, and her master鈥檚 degree in counseling psychology from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, where she is currently a second-year doctoral student. Weiland has done therapy in private practice and intensive day treatment settings. Her clinical interests include: identity development, trauma, stress, relational challenges, building self-esteem, and existential concerns. Weiland鈥檚 approach to counseling is grounded in existential and person-centered psychology. Outside of work and school, she enjoys nature, writing poetry, and playing classic rock music on the piano.
